Severin5/13/2023 I have Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University, in Literature from the University of Edinburgh, and in Theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute at the Catholic University of America. My educational and working background is similarly integrative. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. To do this, I draw from several research-based and trauma-informed modalities that combine counseling interventions with traditional psychoanalytic approaches. As such, I integrate a both/and approach in my work - one in which I help clients both process the past and integrate changes in the present moment that help them realize their hopes for the future.
